Culture is what you cultivate by the example you set and the experience you create.

My favorite part of my career has always been mentoring and creating high functioning teams. It starts with being authentic, transparent and being seen as a trusted leader. I never aspired to be a leader but it has come naturally to me from a young age. I’ve found what has worked in my youth, honesty, passion, accountability, celebration and autonomy, to also guide me now.

One of my greatest challenges was inspiring a team of 30+ to work harder than they ever had admits a global pandemic. With the help of our leadership team we built a four day workshop to move this team into a virtual world.

As we have returned to work, recognition and celebration are at the forefront of my mind as words such as burn out, employee well-being and work-life integration are being more widely accepted.
